Tax Deductibility: Donations made to verified participating 501(c)(3) organizations or directly to SML Good Neighbors for sponsorship are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. Donors will receive an official tax receipt via email upon successful completion of a transaction.
Non-Refundable: All online donations made during Give Local SML (including Early Giving periods) are final and non-refundable, except in cases of proven fraudulent transaction activity.
4. Nonprofit Participation & Eligibility
Nonprofits applying to participate in Give Local SML must meet all eligibility criteria, including maintaining verified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and actively serving residents in Bedford, Franklin, or Pittsylvania Counties. SML Good Neighbors reserves the right to review, approve, or reject any nonprofit application at its sole discretion.
